:D I know I'm very excited about seedlings but that is cool.
I did the same thing with my chillies but I paid for the seeds. Next time I won't bother. You can just pre-chop them and throw them in the freezer anyway.

Lovely Lacewings
We've ordered some lacewing larvae to help deal with our greenfly population. Is there anything we can do to help them stick around once they have grown up? We haven't got much space but I'd like to do as much as I can to encourage them.

Re: Greenfly Dye
They’ve got me! I spent most of the morning finding them on one plant after another. I though I’d got hem all and then millions of the little buggers crawling all over my strawberries. I used a combination of pulling them off, spraying with washing up liquid, squishing them (not very vegetarian) and...

Re: carrot seed saving
I haven't tried it because I keep hearing not to bother. Apparently carrot seeds don’t keep longer than a year. I put all my spares on Freecycle.
Edit: how daft am I, I read wrong. Thought you ment saving seeds not seed saving. Oh dear, don't mind me.

Re: Grow your own drugs by James Wong
I think the book seems more comprehensive than the programme. I keep going through the useful plants list for extra tips. I haven’t made anything big from it yet but we’ve been following the advice for growing and using peppermint oil for headaches.

Re: Starting window sill garden- questions
Currently living on my south west facing windowsill are parsley, chives, basil, thyme, coriander, mint, dill and tomatoes. I’ve grown them all from seed and while it has taken longer it was cheaper. I made my sowings in January and I’m only now getting a crop. That is with the exception of coriander...

Re: free seeds
I got mine last week but my boyfriends Dad is still waiting for his. They sent him an email saying they had to order more and would send them out as soon as. Tell you the truth they came a bit too late for me. I have all the tomato plants I could possibly need this year. One is already got fruit and...

Hello from sunny Devon
Hi all! My name is Clare, I live in Torquay with my other half but up until last year I lived in Manchester. I’m currently unemployed and not really finding it fun. Before that I was a maid and I didn’t really find that fun either. Always been interested in all things green but decided to make a pro...
