I was just looking at these yesterday having camped last weekend at Eweleaze Farm (I blogged the weekend here ) and used their solar showers and was thinking more in terms of it being a great project for my kids rather than having a hot shower in my garden (somehow the apeal of showering in my counc...

I could have this rant about horse-riders too. Although since I've moved to suffolk it's been a non-issue. But in Dorset there are horse-riders aplenty (myself included in this) and the amount of times they ride two abreast, don't bother signalling if it's ok to pass, don't bother moving over even w...

although they can find a mooncup in your bag and ask whats this for, is it a fairy drinking cup? Or decide that it would be good for various things like making into a dalek or wearing as a hat.

I'm a mooncup convert too! I LOVE my mooncup. Infact when I first started using it a couple of years ago I was completely evangelical about it! I used to suffer with bad thrush, but as soon as I swapped to the mooncup it dissapeared. Has the bonus of being cheap (one off payment of around £18 com...

ahh then you'll be interested in the mudpud thing - www.muddlepuddle.co.uk and the associated email group. As it's about home-edding under 8s! They have a summer camp every year where I met Kirsty! Although I had no idea she was going to join here the same day as me, thats just a spooky coincidence!...

I'm in Ipswich, which is a bit of a change from the rural life in Dorset, but good nevertheless :)

Hi from Suffolk!

Just found this site, and wow it's brilliant! I'm Emma, I'm a home-educating mum of twin girls, and we've just moved back here from Dorset, where I had an allotment. Now I just have my garden, but have great ideas on just how much veg I can squeeze into it and still leave the kids room to play! Not ...

Ants

I've found they don't like talc powder either. I don't seem to be getting them in this house (we've just moved) but in my last house would be plauged every summer. If you can see where they are coming in, and put some talc there this seems to stop them.

HTH!
