Re: Horsechestnut (probably) leaf miner moth (maybe)
But one last question... Does this mean that when the pupae all hatch, the garden will be swarming with moths? :pale: If they're anything like the holly leaf miner they will be predated on by a parasitic wasp, plus a fair few will fail to hatch for various other reasons. Re: Wasps
You can buy wasp killers here that are really effective. My parents use one in Bulgaria and it zaps 'em good! All depending on your moral standpoint of course - they sting people and cause pain for enjoyment so as far as I'm concerned they've had their chance! Hmph! My moral standpoint is that they...

Re: Hello from Herefordshire
Hi  Welcome...can't wait to hear about your caravan exploits. It won’t be for a while yet unfortunately; got to do the sensible thing and finish my degree first, which also gives me time to research my options. I’ve got my eye on one of these at the mo (but as plain as possible externally I t...

Re: Does anyone here wash all their clothes by hand?
We found a hand cranked 'rumble tumble' washer & it's brilliant! http://www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/acatalog/Wonder_Wash_Manual_Washing_Machine_.html MW I’ve had my eye on one of those :cooldude: Do you use yours a lot and, if so, howdoes it stand up to regular use? Soaking, but I have a little ...

Hello from Herefordshire
Been lurking on and off for a while now and finally got round to registering! I’m interested in anything that helps me become more independent, plus I like loads of old skills, some of which I do, eg spinning wool, and some which I’d love to try, eg greenwood crafts, horse logging. My aim is to stic...
