Re: No Dig Garden Method?
Thanks everyone for the responses. Being doing some research and came across the hugelkultur bed methoD. I am thinking I may do hybrid beds using a mix of both methods and see how that works out. Need to collect some wood, source some manure etc. Greenhouse is arriving in one week and I have now bui...

Re: Poly cystic ovaries
I was diagnosed with PCO'S and told I couldn't have children...well tried all manner of treatments, hormones, metformin etc. (many had nasty side effects too) everything seemed to work for a few weeks/months then stopped working. PCO's is very common yet GP's don't really seem to know to much about ...

Don't spend money on electronic spider repellers. Have a teen with a pathological fear of spiders and have tried every contraption on the market to try to repel them from house and garden - none worked. She wouldn't go in the garden because of them and if we got one in the house...oh boy you could h...

Re: Hello from Surrey
Thanks for the welcome everyone :)
Yes took a few weeks dug it all over, broke two spades. lol Got hold of a pick axe, used that and next day it looked no different. Seems impossible to brake up so I'm going to look at no dig gardening :)

No Dig Garden Method?
As I have terrible soil like concrete, I'm looking seriously at the no dig method, anyone practising this with success? Would love to know how it's going if you are.
Trying to get hold of the Esther Dean no dig gardening book too, without success at the moment.
Thanks :)

Hello from Surrey
Hello all,
New here and looking for advice and ideas as I have just cut down a 60x40 triffid field and now find my soil is stronger than concrete after braking two spades :)
Try to get a plot going on a small budget too.
