do you have kids/nieces/nephews? I don't know how these things work, but if you're not going to miss £15K that was saved for you and your FIL doesn't want it back, maybe you could put it into a savings account for someone you know who may need it in future...just make sure you tell them about it so ...

If you have one, could you take your car off the road to save on the tax and insurance? didn't the law change recently so that you still need insurance even if your car is declared off road? :( Sorry to hear what you're going through Clare...Do you work? is there any way you could find a part-time ...

oh my gosh...I had no idea that ragwort is (is thought?) to be dangerous.... over summer holidays my stepdaughter came home from her nana's house with a cinnabar caterpillar and I kept picking ragwort to feed it until it turned into a cacoon :? That was a good few weeks ago now and I'm still alive....

the above receipe sounds good MKG... if you've tried your best to contact the agency and landlord but can't get hold of them then there's not much else you can do... carry on paying the same amount of rent you have been paying as from what you've said you haven't had a new contract through or a letter confirming that the rent IS going ...
