Re: Employment contract
Dear Daff, The correct procedure is to raise a formal grievance. This initially should be sent to your line manager. Something like the following:- Dear Manager, I want to raise a formal grievance over what I see as the correct level of training being given to colleague A. I am raising this grievanc...

Crack Willow
My neighbour's Crack Willow tree is about 20 foot tall. It's just finished snowing over both our gardens. Both of us would like to do something with it. It takes up a lot of room but we don't want to chop it down. Ideally we would like it to pay its way. The very thin branches look really useful, bu...

Re: Benifit of getting high school diploma online at Sandfor
I';ve seen adverts on websites for freelancers for 'forum posters' and that is exactly what they ask for - people to sign up to forums, make a few posts and then sell the usernames/passwords back. They have to sign up for doing somewhere in the region of 3000 posts... One of the reasons that people...

Re: Paper Log Makers - The Best One?
Years ago I used to work for British Telecom. Once a year the telephone directories were replaced. I had a multi fuel fire at the time. I tried a log maker but It consumed more time than it was worth. What I used to do was roll the directories into a tight tube shape and wrap a few turns of wire rou...

Fussy Eater
My 8 year old daughter ( interests - Unicorns, Fairies, Chocolate & Chips) is a veggie. The problem is that she shy's away from eating anything green and eggs. She will eat Quorn & fish. Any ideas for veggie recipes, or can recommend a recipe book for veggie kids.

Re: Employment contract
In the UK There is no obligation to increase your wages from that you agreed upon when commencing employment, save in one instance. That is where the national minimum wage increases to a level higher than your current wage. Then your employer has to increase your wage to the National Minimum Wage. I...

Re: Carge Multiple Car Batteries with Solar or Wind?
If you are charging / using multiple batteries in parallel put a silicon rectifier in the lead to each battery. This stops the current flowing back into a dying battery from a good one. Maplins sell them for £0.54 each http://www.maplin.co.uk/3a-silicon-rectifiers-46405

Re: Blackout
Well I watched it. Lots of stereotyping - Rioting in London, smug middle class ish-er getting his comeuppance, couple of likely lads trying their luck, girl in hospital with accident victim (will the batteries run out), single mum on way to see her mother, criminal who turns out to be a Samaritan. T...

I came across this way of preserving food some time ago. Has anyone tried it? http://nchfp.uga.edu/how/dry/veg_leathers.html

Hello From Chesterfield
Just a bit about myself. I live in Chesterfield Derbyshire. Single and semi retired (although I can't afford to retire until I'm about 100). Too much debt at the end of the month. Live in a rented terraced house with long back garden. Always had an interest in S-S lifestyle. Very disillusioned with ...
