Thanks. My little lettuce is still holding on, but has stretched and the soil has gone furry. I like the self watering bottle but I think a small wick would be better, and the light at this time of year clearly isn't enough

Well my little lettuce is growing. But my water wick has turned the water red. It came from and old pair of pj's that must of been washed a million times

I found Bamboo brushes on Ebay recently.

I think I take the view of, yes they have a right, but preferably not in my garden & patio, mostly because they are so prolific and they itch :-(

Ah yes the blackberry, is mine, and the fern will be relocated. But the private is my neighbours, and not a friend of mine, constantly pricking myself on it The kids love collecting blackberries each year. We live on a natural spring, so the marestails just spring up everywhere, forever pulling them...

I'm kinda leaning towards a wooden one, simply because I can get my hands on loads of pallets, just wasn't sure about a liner, but knowing its not required helps.

Hi I'm looking to put a raised bed on my back patio, approx 4 x 2 ft. I have 2 solid brick walls in which to put it against but cant decide wether to build one or buy one. I've just bought some seeds with a plan for all year indoor lettuce. We don't drink much pop, but do seem to have a few bottles lying around, so I will definitely be giving this a go
