Ok, will up the milk. Have an extra goat in milk at the moment so can just milk her for him.
If the shops ever open again... I will try tracking down some cracked corn and barley.
Many thanks

Garden Signs
Does anyone else have signs in their garden? I like them... If I see one I like, I come home and make them up, because I am too scroogy to buy them. I have "Warning Trespassers will be composted" on the top gate. "Never lose your childlike heart" on the back verandah, and ...

The Good Life on DVD
Went to see my Liverpiddlian friend today (who lives here in Aus), and told her about this site. Asked her why on earth I can't remember ever seeing The Good Life, when I remember The Goodies and The Manor Born.... She immediatley burst into "Oh you would love it!" and then set about shari...

Are you pulling my leg? Maybe drag a few kids away from their playstations and get them to help you roll them back down the street. It would probably be a riot watching them learn to steer...

Fattening up a Pig
I would very much like suggestions on fattening up my pig. He is a White Landrace and is due to go to the butchers now, but I am holding off a bit because to me, he looks very long and not at all like the last one I sent. The first one was raised on oats, corn, sugar cane and home brew. This guy has...

 Yes, am sure he is really one of our chiselled and rugged Aussie stereotypes... he's just being humble. So you must have some BIG sheds over there then... I cannot for the life of me imagine cattle in a shed. How on earth do you hand feed cows for months? Far out. Just supplementing them h...

I grow all my spuds in tyre barrels and the bulk of my other vegies are grown in big tractor tyres, because my soil is nothing short of shaley clay and I have spent a few years working with it, but it is still really only fit for natives and citrus. The main benefit I find in building up spud barrel...
