I don't fly. Did once, years ago. Recently when I came from Finland to Hungary as an exchange student I first took a ferry from Finland to Germany, and came from there by train. Had a lot of fun in Berlin and Prague on the way! I considered hitchhiking, but with my loads of luggage + winter weather ...

How much do you think a steward would have to have in hand for basic food expenses there? UK isn't the cheapest country around, and my summer (spent hitchhiking around Europe) will be on a very tight budget... :)
