recipes for all of the gins and vodkas above.

This is how I have done it. Makey-uppy-recipe (first time trying...) warm loads of sugar....(this can be adjusted to taste as you experiment) and disolve in a little boiling water to make a strong syrup. stuff as many rasps, or elderflowers, or strawbs etc, as possible, into a container put all this...

Auntie Bantom!

Hi - thats the thing I do have a lavender peking bantom but she has never shwon signs of brooding!! Ill keepmy eye on her morethoguh and see if she looks as if she would like to have a moresecludedbroody spot

yeh I was beginning to wonder if id said something un-PC!! Or could it be that there is no way of interfeering in this aspect of nature. I dont know how to encourage the Hens to sit! and go broody in the safety of the hen house. (One hen got out of the field and did return with three chicks. I do have a muscovy duck who is sitting on 4 hen's eggs - may end up with an identitiy crisis when the chicks hatch) Has anyone got tips. Someti...

how do i get hens to go broody?

Went into the hen house this morning to find two of the nesting boxes occupied...no problem there ! Well.... one was Rory, my No 2 cockeral..sitting on eggs and refusing to budge! He was making all the broody henny type noises and pecking at me when I tried to get the eggs. Ive heard of mister-hens ...

Hey it happened...we had a day of NO rain, plenty of yellow rays and a good dose of wind to dry things off.....yippeeeeeeee. spent the whole day oooot the hoose soaking it all up :cheers: :flower: :flower:

thanks to everyone for their words of welcome. Wrist is still sore...but thats :flower: my own fault because I cant stop myself from doing silly things like trimming hedges and cleaning out the hen house....and of course this is all in the rain....ummmm i supose everything we do is in the rain these...
