Garden Finds

There was dolls leg that turned up for a couple of years, the I threw it away. We also found a bucket thing, that has some kind of mechanism inside, I'm not sure what it is because it's completely rusted, but it makes a nice plant pot holder.

Hi Ermintrude (love that name) it's nice to meet you. I'm a Warwickshire lass myself, although I live abroad in Yorkshire nowadays.

Hi Rohen, it's nice to meet you :-)

"No Im a Psychiatrist "

And people don't want to speak to you, because you are the person who declared Pat Hewitt sane, when the glint in her says otherwise LOL

Hello

Hi Jo, it's nice to meet you. I'm afraid I don't know anything about chlorine in water. I'm sure someone will be able to help, they seem a knowledgable lot.

Thanks

Thank you. I thought jam/jelly was an option, but then it crossed my mind that I might be wrong. LOL

I like the sound of elderberry cordial, how do you make that? And your wine sounds very potent, but yummy.

I don't . . .

. . . let them have the good stuff. Slugs aren't fussy, that cheap watery supermarket stuff seems to do the job.

Six foot slugs

My garden hell would be slugs that grew to six feet in length and developed a dislike for beer. I hate the revolting slimey little &*%^&*$ with a passion.

Farmers Market

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned, but in case it hasn't, Doncaster has a farmers market on the first and third Wednesday's of the month.

Ideas for Elderberries

I've been reading the thread about elder flowers with interest. We have a tree in our garden . . . it was originally part of a hedge in the front garden, but our neighbours preferred a fence, so they dug the hedge up. Anyhow, cutting a long story short, I rescued the tree, and moved it around the ba...

More Recipes Please

Thank you for the recipe, now I just need to persuade my DH LOL I would love to see more recipes for beer, and wine, this is an area I want to expand into this year. Years ago, a friend's father gave me some lovely blackberry wine, does anyone have a recipe for this?

TIA :-)

Tomatoes

I grew a compact bush variety in containers last year . . . space is a problem for us too . . . the plants did ok, but I only got three tomatoes. However, I'm not sure if this was due to the growing method or my ineptitude. I've never had any luck growing them, and three was actually a 150% improvem...
