I'd like to know the answer to this as well. I am going to make a few oranges with lots of cloves in them.

I can only guess that you could cut the oranges into slices and put them in a low oven for ages to dry out.

I watch it sometimes. My teenage son pleads with me to let him stay up and watch it. He's always glued to the screen.

I love to hate it too! It's quite entertaining, but I'd rather be tucked up in bed with a book. Sad eh?

If it's a bad one, get someone to go to the local shop and get a bottle of Aqua Libra or even two bottles. Expensive but always do the trick for me...along with a paracetamol for the feeling of an axe that's stuck in the back of your head!

I had to stop Mr Shiney from buying some more lights the other day. He has this childish 'need' to have them. I told him we have enough (indoor ones) We have a few strands I have to admit. I feel good for steering him away from getting some more. We do have a natural wreath for outside, fr...

Hi Nev,

I get back up from Mr Shiney. He always supports me in whatever I am trying to achieve in being eco aware, self suffish etc. We do the best we can. We aren't perfect but we are a good 'team'!

C'mon Mrs Wombat you know you want to really.

Thanks Shirlz! I am not one of life's gifted writers but it's been fun to do.

The name New Leaf for your info, came from 'Turning Over a New Leaf'. The name Shiney had already been snaffled as a user! I was gutted.

Goodness, you guys in the North really have a hard time of it with the wind being so fierce. I see it's going to stay for a while, according to the weather forecasts. I did chuckle at your son's comments. Kids eh? Mind you, seeing your dad flying would be quite a spectacle! Glad to know you are in o...

I have a question which I keep forgetting to ask!

I get an organic box of fruit and veg each week. The spuds and carrots come in biodegradable plastic bags. Can they be composted?

I have some pickles stashed in my cupboard for Christmas pressies. Pickled eggs, shallots, onions and beetroot relish. I have to make some labels and some material discs to put on the lids and voila!
