Ooh I love accidental crops,I had three great tomato plants and 2 pumpkin plants from spilt seeds and dropped fruit fabulous,the pumpkins were huge and this years basil are all from last years plant self seeded.

how are your spuds doing?

I have just returned from a 10 day holiday,my neighbour watered the patch and fed the chickens for me.My potatoes were looking really yellow and brown so I chopped off the tops and dug them today,they are main crop and I got a third of what I got last year but the earlies look ok so we should be ok ...

I am fortunate to be a stay at home mum but certainly earn my keep by tending the veg patch baking and cooking from scatch,making some clothes,cut all the family's hair,preserve,make wine and soap,keep chickens and sell a few crafts,jam and eggs.I love it so I won't complain.our children have a grea...

Just remember a short period of time can turn into a long one!!My eldest now 10 had tonsilitus at 6 months and had been waking for a week due to teething so I brought her in with me as hubby was away all week and it took me 4 months to get her back into her cot after her sleeping through from 10 wee...
