Re: 101 uses for clothes pegs

Been reading through these and was reminded of other ways I've used them 29. to make lucet cords 30. clip the bottom of loose sleeves to a bit further up to stop them getting in the way when cooking and washing up. 31. clip trousers up when they won't stay rolled up and you need to pop out to the ga...

I opened an Etsy shop just a few days ago called Absojutely Bagulous  Adding a couple of items each day. I've done the shop a facebook page too so I can put up coupon codes

Re: 101 uses for clothes pegs

18. Make boring office jobs more interesting. I used to work in an office where someone took a clothes peg in and carefully pegged it on someone's clothes without them noticing. When the victim did eventually find it, they pegged it on someone else.

Re: 101 uses for clothes pegs

15. Curtain "tie"-backs. I made my own kitchen curtains and never got round to making tie-backs, so I peg them  16. Closing cereal bags. My son's the only one who eats cereals, and that's only a couple of times a week. I got fed up of throwing away half a box of limp cornflakes because he w...

Re: White Vinegar

I sprayed some on some dandelions. It burned the leaves but didn't kill the plant. I reckon you'd need to pour a load on to get it down to the roots. It might work on wussy annual weeds, but the ones you really want rid of are far too tough

Re: Re-use bamboo blinds ?

When we first got chickens we had them in a small run and they kept jumping out so we used a large bamboo blind as a roof on that. Then we decided the run wasn't big enough and gave the chickens a chunk of garden. Now the blind is strung up between two elder bushes to stop them jumping over a low bi...

Re: Any home edders out there?

It just seems to me that to justify home edding your kids on that sort of basis isn't so great. Doubtless there are some chronic teachers in the system(and many who are dedicated, knowledgable and a godsend to the education system) in the same way as there are some crap lawyers, some crap doctors,cra...

Re: Any home edders out there?

OH works on an IT helpdesk and gets calls daily from teachers and headteachers, he is disgusted by their attitude and shocked at their incompetence! I'm pretty keen on the idea of home educating, and ours(5,6and12) would have done it were they not fortunate enough to go to a couple of great schools,...
