Re: A type of oyster mushroom?

Ah, now that makes sense to me now... I was reading up on how you'd use polypores as plasters and the picture showed a different underside to 'my' mushroom. They definitely have gills. And they are all the same colour, I'll take my camera next time we go up there :)

Thanks Davie :)
Shame we can't eat it but it's good to know what it is, and what it could be used for.

Totally stunning, I'd have to find somewhere special to put them so they could be viewed all the time!

We've got orange on the go and I just put parsnip wine in the demi-john today. Re: Real Bread

I use this recipe Big Al shared http://www.selfsufficientish.com/forum/ ... 91#p226124. For some reason I always need to add more water but it always turns out perfect

Yeah, I'll be keeping mine in my sewing room from now on!

It is the logical place to put it though... I mean, Pingu's dad and grandad stored and made wine in an igloo shed!

Has anyone got experience of these ones? http://www.the-home-brew-shop.co.uk/acatalog/5_ltr_Plastic_Demijohn_With_Cork_Bung.html I'v...
