Re: Good Deed of the Day

Hi Jim,

I totally agree with you. It is so reaffirming to get out and share with people and, in turn, they rarely disappointed in their own capacity to be generous and kind.

Have a great day,

 Then I will have a go at it. I usually have lemon juice around.

Thanks again, Ina

Re: Good Deed of the Day

What a lovely thing to do SarahJane--and everyone else who shares their bounty :flower: . Since I have managed not to kill off as many plants as anticipated, I hope to share what I grow with family, friends and neighbours. It's one of the unexpected perks to having a garden this year; it makes me mo...

Re: Colwick Cheese How?

Yes, unfortunately it is! Milk never used to go bad, just thick. Nowadays it seems to keep forever, but then it goes off. So no can do, all these lovely milk products that we used to make at home... (Before we had yoghurt, my parents always had "thick milk".) Thanks for the confirmation Ina. :flowe...

Re: Colwick Cheese How?

I have always wanted to find a use for my milk when it goes bad, but I read somewhere that you cannot do anything with our milk because of the pasteurizing process :( . Our milk comes in bags and it seems to just goes "off", not sour. I do buy the organic milk once and a while, but it is fairly pric...

Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome Trisho. I am new here also (from Canada). I've never been to Germany but it is definitely on the list of "places to go". As for Sunday closing, I miss that here. We just had a national holiday here yesterday and almost everything was closed for it. I love it when it goes nice and quiet and i...

Annpan and Boboff those pictures and arrangements are beautiful. I wish I could grow flowers but they die a cruel death in my care. Truly amazing arrangements. I pay for arrangements to look that good--well done.

Hello from Ontario, Canada

Hi, I have been visiting this site almost daily for about seven months and decided to join in----finally. I am a complete newby to gardening and all things Ish. My 'garden' consists of a balcony and containers. I am enjoying the whole gardening experience so far. The planting, growing and anticipati...
