I'm renting my Christmas tree!

After several costly attempts at trying to keep pot-grown Christmas trees alive until the next year, I'm so pleased that my local farm is renting them out! You can even have the same one back the next year and watch it grow

Re: Well it had to happen

Is this actually meat, rather than a fungus type thing? I know they can make ears, etc separate from anything living now so I imagine that this is actual meat. Does anyone have an article link? I'd love to know a bit more before I give my opinion

Re: Freezing mash

Thanks everyone, I think I'll try it without the milk and butter, then add that later. I asked because I'm doing a big batch and didn't want to waste it. I'm sure it's probably fine, I bet there's not much in the taste. I hope... :santa:

Freezing mash

I don't think I've ever frozen mashed potato before, apart from as part of a pie. There seems to be a debate on the web about whether it's any good. Does it freeze ok?

Re: What do you think of the new website/ forum?

Can I just ask, did John actually ask our opinions? I can't help thinking if I'd done as much work on the site as he does I would be a bit peeved to have the likes of me coming on and criticizing. Not that I'm aware of, but it didn't cross my mind that we wouldn't be allowed to talk about it...

Re: What do you think of the new website/ forum?

Hi MW, I'm not sure I understand your response - do you mean that people probably don't like it, or that you thought I wasn't being nice? I thought I was being nice!

What do you think of the new website/ forum?

There's opinions dotted around on different posts, so I thought I'd open a discussion on it. I like the main website, it looks good, a bit full on the main page, but it still looks ok (apart from the big advert at the top!) I wasn't keen on not being warned about when the forum would be played with ...

Re: Has the ISH site gone weird on your PC?

I don't mind the page header, but something seems wrong about adverts intruding into the posts - i.e. seeing them at the side. I understand that the forum-runners may need to have adverts and am grateful that this forum is provided, but it just feels uncomfortable somehow. At the top they didn't int...
