Re: badger or fox?
Thanks for that Boboff, I have now noticed quite a few small holes all over the place in a random manner. Unfortunately I cant plug the gap where they come on to the property as we are surrounded on 2 sides by miles of fields which separate from us via a deep ditch and wire fencing. So....I would ha...

Re: badger or fox?
Aha! I have got a few little holes in the lawn and I wondered where thay came from so perhaps it is a badger. I put chicken wire flat on the ground around the pen to s distance of 3 feet or so 3 days ago and so far no more digging. I also put stones on top so as a short term solution I am hoping I h...

Re: 101 uses for clothes pegs
Whilst I am crafting I use them as tiny clamps for delicate things - trouble is I never have enough for the washing so have to go on a hunt through the craft boxes!

I have today pricked out the tomatoes, cabbage and cauliflowers that I had started to grow on a windowsill in a covered propagator. Now that I have done this I cant remember what I usually do!! Do I put them in the trays back onto the windowsill or do I put them in the unheated polytunnel. I know tha...

Re: New Foraging Basket for the elite and the amateur
I do a lot of foraging of soft and hard stuff!! I think a rigid container for the berries is the way to go. For nuts it doesnt really matter and for leaves etc I prefer to use a rigid container again as I dont want the leaves getting ruined before I get home. Being able to be hands free is ideal,I l...
