Re: Mieze Schindler Strawberry
I used a small wood crate to creat a bit of a raised bed for them; this might have caused me to plant them closer together than whatever the recommeded distance is, although I did plant some of them around it, not wanting to crowd them. I planted the extra one next to them, I think it's a Cambridge ...

Mieze Schindler Strawberry
I planted some Frau Mieze Schindler strawberries hoping to have a small crop of delicious strawberries. I knew they'd be small, but these were tiny and the flavour was not as expected. I got a split second's worth of intense strawberry and that was it, apart from a bit of bitterness. Has anyone else...

Does anyone know the brand of mug?
A few weeks ago I saw a travel mug in Sainsbury's. It was grey and/or beige, one of those insulated types, plastic or silicone and with a lid. It was displayed with all sorts of other lunch boxes and containers and the display has now been replaced by ... Christmas items. Has anyone else seen that m...

On arrival at airport, find that the flight has been cancelled and a seat found for me on another flight. All well and good, but i...

Laundry matter
I got marker stains on an item of white clothing, dunked them in some nail varnish remover, and promptly forgot about it when I started doing something else, so it dried. I'm going to use the acetone again, but I wonder what I should then use to wash them both out.

Tulips
I bought a pot of dark purple tulips from Homebase. Can I keep them in the pot or must they be put in a planter or flowerbed, and what can I do to ensure they grow the best they can?

Re: Rusty tools
I used vinegar and it worked a treat - soaked in vinegar for a day, then went over them with stainless steel scrubbie, rinsed in water with bicarb (I heard it was necessary to neutralise them :? ), wiped them dry, warmed to ensure dryness and a spray with some oil - even the handles were cleaned wit...

Re: ...use a propagating frame?
Are you sure I would have to keep electrical wires wet in the sand - isn't that dangerous?

It also has a transformer type thing on a shelf below that produces heat in wired and a rod, and there's sand at the bottom of it.
