Completed Chicken Run

At last we have had a break in the weather and have managed to complete the chicken run. The updated pictures are on my blog. So as soon as Bonfire night has finished we will be getting the chickens. Racked Cider

We have just racked off our cider and calculated the alcohol content at around 7%. Not bad for our first attempt. :drunken: :cheers: We have another batch of apple/ pear cider on the go and should be ready to rack in another week or so.

Home made apple press

After our apple picking around 2 weeks ago, My OH made an apple press out of a car jack and a bed frame. Photos can be found on my blog. i've just worked out how much wire I need..... 3ft wide at 40 mtrs! I rang around my local garden centres and no luck with the wire there trinder. Bowland stone came up a big fat zero as well :( There is a place online via ebay that sells 19 gage wire, but would this be strong enough to keep mr fox ...
