We have just racked off our cider and calculated the alcohol content at around 7%. Not bad for our first attempt. We have another batch of apple/ pear cider on the go and should be ready to rack in another week or so.

Thanks for the advice. We are going to transfer it into another demijohn an leave it for a little longer. Will let you know how strong it is.

i've just worked out how much wire I need..... 3ft wide at 40 mtrs! I rang around my local garden centres and no luck with the wire there trinder. Bowland stone came up a big fat zero as well :( There is a place online via ebay that sells 19 gage wire, but would this be strong enough to keep mr fox ...
