Tea

Has anyone here grown tea before, I'm going to do it for the first time this year with a plant I bought at the BBC Gardener's World Exhibition, I know it will need a big pot with ericaceous compost in & that I will need to bring it in on a really harsh winter, any more advice on growing it would be cool, if no one has I'll keep you posted.

I believe that the world's most northerly tea "plantation" is in Yorkshire and is run with considerable pride by the bods who make Yorkshire Tea. You might have a go at contacting them for some tips (PG).

Cammellia grow well in the UK but sinensis is a slow grower which needs special conditions to grow decent buds,these exist at foresaid extra lovely Cornish place,so have a great trip,and get advice all at the same time..BWs
