Hi BG, welcome to Ish.

Sounds lovely. I'm working on my OH re having chickens - he's not keen on the idea. But I'm patient.

Hiya! Chickens are on my "to get" list, too...

What does your name mean? I have the suspicion that there's something green in there... (I know that "glas" is green in Scotland!)

Thanks for the welcome

Baois Glas means Greens Folly  The name is deliberately intended to be a double meaning on Folly as in being a pretty place to dwell and also an act of recklessness on our part. The Green part is our family name.

We had chickens before we moved over and they are great fun, can't wait to have some again, just got to get the fences up now.

It's quite boggy here as well, lol. I think we are classed as North East, but some seem to put us in North West
