T***o ads

Post: # 53055Post Andy Hamilton »

Google are supposed to use key words to stick up there ads. In other words we never know what is going to be up there, normal it is quite appropriate.

I have put a block up to stop the T***o ads and it should take effect in the next few hours. So don't think we have sold out. only just became aware that they are there.

Do you think it is because of the amount of times the word Tescos has been written on this site? I can't think of any other reason that a supermarket ad should be on a SS(ish) site.

considering the wealth that T***o has they might just pay google a huge amount of cash simply to be on as many sites as possible. - regardless of keywords.

It is probably more to do with the fact we mention T***o a lot rather than any nefarious backhanders. There are lots of hits for searching for the supermarket name and site name side by side.

Perhaps the solution is to write T***o but, if it is really a worry, arranging to block those ads (with Google?) is a better solution.

Looks like they've gone!! I guess we could set Ish up to automatically change T***o to T*sco or something.

Hmm I quite like T***o becoming T***o as it does make it become a dirty word on the site.

Lets do it

Think I prefer Toads myself. Although a bit harsh on the four legged creatures.
