Raspberries in Containers?
Not wanting to open up a can of worms by dwelling on the most contentious of all fruits the raspberry- has anyone grown them in containers? If so what sort and how and all that?

Re: Raspberries in Containers?
Hmm, dare I ?
Well of late I read something like this.
After the first year cut them all down, then the second year leave some full, and cut rest down, when established cut some full, some half, some 3/4, that way you will get fruit over a long span. From observation this is definately true.
As for containers, yes can be done, but usual thing about watering, and probably a mulch, and make sure they get fed somehow. I would imagine they would do well, as they seem to grow out of cracks in walls etc ok.
Not sure about varieties, if you see some locally looking good, get that type! ( even better ask to dig some up!)

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.
