101 cold and flu remedies

101 Uses For is popular and let's hope it stays that way. Our second book is presently called 101 tips for self sufficiency; we will certainly dip into this section for ideas. So post away and let's try and get at least one thread up to 101.

24 ? I find raw ginger dispenses with the sore throat symptoms pretty quickly as well as clearing the sinuses.

At the first sign, garlic. Ideally raw .... in general, garlic which you mince, then wait 5 minutes, then put it in some food which you don't cook too long. If you're allergic to garlic (my husband is, gives him a headache etc) use onion, but keep that 10 mins after cutting before you cook it. See http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=george&dbid=54.
For babies: put some sliced onion rings behind their little ears ....
Ginger is also good.
Grow no evil, cook no evil, eat no evil!
And if you are interested in food and/or health, have a look at my website:
