SanDisk Cruzer Glide

I'd forgotten my password (is there a way to use this devise without a password?) and having looked up something on the internet, ended up deleting the bottom safe door file (when you open the device, there's the safe door, two other files and a safe door again), by mistake - I think I was meant to delete something else in order to reset the password... Is there anyway to retrieve what I deleted?
