Felted stone pebbles

Post: # 277481Post Pumkinpie »

Today at craft club we covered homemade bars of soap with wool tops and wet felted them. Some people were going to use them as decoration others use them. Basically the wool acts as a mild abrasive when you wash your hands and stops the soap going sticky.
I am going to put one of mine I a pop sock and tie it to the tap at the allotment to use when I am down there.
When the soap gas gone the wool left can go on the compost heap.
Happy growing folks.

felting soaps also stops the soap going soggy and helps make a quicker lather than just hands alone, also with soaps which have dried somewhat and start to crack and split the felt keeps it all together so soap doesn't look ratty
(or is it just me that keeps spare scented soap in clothes drawers letting it dry out and scent the clothes?)
