Collective Noun for Moles?

Post: # 258202Post The Riff-Raff Element »

I'm going to nominate a "conspiracy" of moles. It seems appropriate, given how they always manage to choose the part of veg patch where they can do most damage. Bastards.

Any other ideas?

You can't do that! Officially, it's a company or a labour of moles.

On second thoughts, as the Victorians simply made that up (similar history for most collective nouns) I think you can probably call 'em what you like.

Given your experience (and I know what you mean) how about a radar of moles?

Yup, was gonna nominate BARSTEWARDS.

Are you sure they are moles, not voles? Both leave mounds of earth but a mole hole is vertical whereas a vole hole goes off at an angle (or possibly the other way round - my OH told me this) - for some reason the voles and mulots love the veg patch but the moles like the lawn. Don't ask me why!

Moles
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

A "ground" of MOLEsters.
sorry.
My mate another scouser moved to Tewkesbury (rural) she saw the mole hills, had seen tv programmes and thought that they were about the size of a rabbit.

There's some good stuff coming out here. I wasn't being nearly imaginative enough.

However, from this morning, I fear it will be a "discontinuation" of moles. :pirate: MWAAAAHAAAHAAA!
