Anyone else keep exotics?

Due to popular demand, here is the section to discuss everything to do with our pets. Please remember though to post any queries regarding pet livestock in the livestock section as you are more likely to get the right response there!

Anyone else keep exotics?

Post: # 251303Post Lost-in-the-Day »

I know it's not very ishy of me, it's my one big weakness  but I have a number of "exotic" pets, (corn snakes, giant African land snails and axolotls) and was wondering if anyone else on here has exotic pets?

I don't keep them myself, but my brother has a pet shop for exotic critters:

Yep - I have a poodle who thinks he's the Queen.

How exotic do you want them to be?

i used to catch and keep spiders and toads and tadpoles and caterpillars when i was a kid.
they werent exotic, id get them down at the reservoir behind my house.

my husband brought me home a wee tortoise that he found once. but it wouldnt eat and i though i was stressed from being captured so i let it go in the garden.

Cool. I'm afraid spiders and tarantulas freak me out. I know they shouldn't as I'm a lot bigger than they are and some of them have very pretty markings, but there's just something about the way they look and move that turns me into a big baby. :(

Did he stay in the garden or did he decide to wander off?
