Garliky Garlicness!

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Garliky Garlicness!

Post: # 111266Post Lady Willow »

My kitchen is a block of garlic smell right now ... lovely!

I'm cooking the wet garlic soup and roasted wet garlic as featured on River Cottage last week. They smell divine ... can't wait to eat them ... I'll report back! .....

I'm sure I have very galicy breath today!

The roast garlic was lovely ... I've roasted garlic loads of times before, but never wet garlic... it really makes a difference.

Garlic soup was OK .. not garlicy enough for me ... the words garlic and subtelty don't marry well in my book!

It's wonderful, isn't it? I roasted garlic last night to have with sausage and mash and it was absolutely delicious. I'll be doing it with the roast on Sunday and I just know for sure that my father won't touch it because he will simply refuse to believe it won't blow his head off! This is vindaloo man

You lucky lot, there was no wet (green) garlic in the local grocers this year, I now know what is going in the window box this year after the toms have finished ... :geek:

Oh, you know how it is AXJ - some of us have wet garlic, others have ridiculously cheap and readily available wines :bootyshake:

I love the idea of home brew, but DH and I hardly drink so it's just not worth it - maybe we should take a serious look at our drinking habits!
