Mangoes?

Post: # 130091Post Clara »

Too late I realised that the mangoes I bought in the market were not the tasty local ones I'd bought last week but some watery pulp flown in from mexico  . So to make the best of a bad lot, has anyone got any suggestions for what I could do with them?

I was wondering if they might make a good face mask.......well Mr clara is returning from his travels tomorrow

I think there is a recipe that included using mangoes to tenderise pork so I think I'd worry that my face would slide off!  But it may work a treat for cellulite as it apparently loosens connective tissue!

Fortunately I don't have any of that....far too busy! But on the same lines would that make it a good preventative for stretch marks?

Hmmm not sure - aren't stretch marks over stretched skin anyway? I think it may need some more research.

Don't know about outside your body, but if it's not brilliant to eat as a piece of fruit what about making it into lassi. I love it and usually make it with mangoes that are a bit too ripe to eat easily.

Mango is good for the skin, but I probably wouldn't use it on your face if your skin is sensitive because of the enzymes in it. If your skin isn't sensitive pulp it and mix it with live yogurt, maybe some honey and oats if you want it a bit exfoliating apply and leave for 5 mins or so then scrub off.

Should leave your skin soft smooth and healthy.
