Growing Oats

Post: # 166490Post mattphillips78 »

Hi!

Thank you all for your kind advice on grwoing grains - does anyone know when i should plant out oats - I'm guessing this will be late winter?

This is going to be my experimental crop, to try and grow and eat our own grown oats - i bought a kilo of hulless bird seed oats, which i know has worked for others when birds have spilt their feed. It's worrying and exciting at the same time!

thanks again and happy smallholding!

If you add your location in your profile, it would make it much easier to give you advice! :sunny:
