Dithering on the sidelines

Post: # 176846Post indy »

Hi All,
Thought it was about time that I introduced myself, I have been loitering here since May and learnt a lot but never had chance to introduce myself. I live in Dorset and have just inherited 5 acres of brambles which used to be my grandad's smallholding- the phoenix is rising from the ashes but is indeed hard work!! I have an acre working and the rest I shut my eyes to and tackle a bit at a time
Kind Regards to all
Indy

Hey Indy, welcome to the forum. I was in a similar position to you (lurking on the sidelines) mostly because I frequent other forums to do with other interests and I've learned over the years to sit back and suss out the lie of the land before jumping in and finding out it wasn't for me. There are many, many forums of this nature, but in the end, I decided that this was the one that offered the most to me. Now you've got to ensure that you try and put stuff in to enhance its value :) Look forward to hearing about the work - sounds like a great project!
Andy

Hi Indy and welcome. Look on the bright side, until you clear that land you'll never go short of blackberries!

Kia Ora & welcome.

Borrow some goats for those brambles, they love 'em!

Thank you all for your kindness, blackberries are fine up to a point...I have made lots of blackberrified things but think I need shares in a sugar plantation :pale: they are somewhat tart! Have been debating about goats for a while...
