White currants

Post: # 237391Post Peggy Sue »

I inherited a whote currant bush on my allotment, I hadn't heard of them before, they are quite nice, not as tasty as red or black currents, would bulk out a pie like apple does but other than that I'm not sure how to use them- anyone grown them/ eaten them before?

use them the same as any of the other currants
they do tend to go soft a lot quicker than black and red and do not crop as heavy
good for jams and summer pudding ect
