Hello from Sunderland !

Post: # 256375Post kachna »

Hello all Selfsufficientishers. I joined some time ago but never posted as some other things in life took over. I love the concept of being selfsufficient and this would be my ideal way of living.
For now just about to sow some tomato seeds, aubergines and gherkins, maybe some red peppers too. I have loads of other seeds well past their sow by date. Do you think it's worth sowing them? Though I think why not give it a try, why put them in a bin?

A wheat seed found in a Pyramid, that dated back 4500 years was planted and grew, so what have you got to lose.

Hi and welcome.

Hello and welcome!
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

Hello and welcome to ishers!! Regularly plant seeds past their "sow by" date. Usually notice after they are in the ground, have had success and failure but thats the same even when within the "date"!
