I have a few little loofah seedlings growing on my windowsill and am wondering the best place to plant them out. I have single storey extension on my house and was thinking I could pop them in a growbag and let them trail over the roof. What I wanted to know is would they just grow over the roof (it is a gentle slope) or would they damage it in the way ivy does?
Thanks

Re: Loofah question
Don't think they'd do any damage. I'd put them somewhere sunny but sheltered from the wind. I know that Durgan grows them, he sent me some seeds this year. Might be worth messaging him.

Thanks - I will do that.
I saw small pieces of loofah for sale in a health food shop recently at £1.80!! so a good crop could make me rich
