No more snow - hooray! This means we continued building today and nearly finished and raised the back wall. (There are a few supportive slots missing.) To be continued...

Re: Building a Swedish hermit's hut!
Ok, ok, I know - I really suck at updating!
But anyway! A lot of stuff has happened and there hasn't been a lot of time for building. The family dog died, two rowdy pups moved in, we've been to Germany, I've been working like hell and studying not so much like hell and blah, blah, blah...
So what's happened is we've begun building the front wall, we've fitted the door and we've found a tiny window to go on one of the gables. *Happy squeal.*
The apple trees are blooming, the dogs are running around happily, Florence + the Machine is blaring - life is good!

Re: Building a Swedish hermit's hut!
One and a half weeks ago I had an EEK-I'M-NEVER-GOING-TO-FINISH-THIS-DAMN-HOUSE-LET'S-JUST-BURN-IT moment. That was helpful. Since then, we've raised all the walls and put on a roof. I'm *hoping* that the, er, "worst" work is over. (Please just agree with me here... ) Now we're fixing the insulation and the flooring. Hooray for that I won't have to burn it!

Thank you!
Today we continued with the insulation. The 95 mm wood fibre insulation is proving to be easy to work with and, most importantly, it doesn't itch!

I have a floor!
I also finished insulating one of the walls today. Tomorrow I'll continue doing that and then a friend of mine will come over for the first fika ever in the house. I'm so happy, happy!

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Look what I found! They're made out of porcelain and yes, it was love at first sight. *Sighs happily.* I could sit and just look at them all day... Heh.
