Daily Food

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Daily Food

Attempting to avoid the commercial prepared food industry as much as possible, over time I have chosen and prepared basic foods, which are palatable, nutritional, easy to prepare, simple, and readily available. The choices are not embedded in stone. I am constantly searching for additions. The method of preparing is in my Journal. http://durgan.org/2011/ Breakfast is soy beans and cooked oats which is not included in this post. The Canadian Food Guide recommendations have probably been met.

Some might ask what about delicious as an attribute instead of palatable. My answer is “delicious” every day makes us jaded, discriminatory, and fat. Once a week, partaking of traditional food is a real treat and is devoured with much pleasure.

It is possible to make DELICIOUS home made low fat healthy food from natural raw ingridients that you can eat everyday and stay healthy and slim you know. The options arn't just vegtable juice or Burger King, there is a whole load of healthy food in between. Im positive you're actually damaging yourself by excluding so many foods from your diet.

I miss Durgan. The potato juice notwithstanding I thought he had a lot of interesting & sometimes insightful things to say.
