Is the talktalk email tiscali, aol or what?

Depends on the email address you had when you joined. When TalkTalk took over Tiscali, those with tiscali email addresses kept them (I still have an unused one) and I know that there are people who still had legacy email addresses from pre Tiscali days that were still active (screaming.net being one). So the answer is that if you are a new joiner, you will be talktalk but if you have come from elsewhere into the group you could be anything.

I gave up on it. I registered an email, tried to log into it, only to be taken to an aol page saying something about wrong details. I've found something else, but, as a talktalk customer, it would have been nice to have an email address of their's.

At least if you move on you aren't lumbered with changing an email address. I prefer neutral ones nowadays.
