Organic Festival in Glasgow

Post: # 28113Post ina »

Just as well Andy mentioned Glasgow - that reminded me I'd wanted to post this announcement that I read in the Scottish Farmer (July 15, 2006):

Organic festival set for Glasgow

Following a staggering 30% growth in the UK organic market, and the continued success of the Organic Food Festival in Bristol, Europe's biggest organic celebration is coming to Glasgow for the first time - this November.
Soil Association Scotland's first Organic Food Festival takes place on November 4 and 5, at the Old Fruitmarket - a stunning venue at the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City.
With Scotland accounting for 41% of organically-managed land in the UK, there will be plenty of fresh and tasty organic food and drink to enjoy. The festival will also be presenting the best in organic health, beauty and textile products.
As well as a programme of talks and tastings and a demo kitchen, featuring leading Scottish chefs, there will also be a lively and diverse programme of entertainment, and mouth-watering organic catering.

There is an organic food festival at Cawdor Castle... same day as the games... this looks like it is also worth a visit. Hopefully more details to follow.

Thanks for that Ina, I'll definately be there, the Old Fruitmarket is great, good venue for seeing bands too, last went there to see Lamb Chop - you probably won't have heard of them. Pam.
