An easy solution...HELP please,I'm clueless!

Computer bods in here please...

I logged on to my internet connection and all the web pages have weeeeeee small wording. It's usually quite large and it's suddenly changed, almost so that you need a magnifiying glass to read them!

It's on my AOL pages as well as explorer. Which buttons do I need to push so I can read the pages at a decent sized font again? I don't what I have done. It happens sometimes.

Forums seem to be ok in this kind of format that Self suffish has, it's just all the other web pages!

Good morning Shiney,

You might want to open Internet Explorer, click on "VIEW", then "TEXT SIZE" and choose the one you want.

See if that makes any differences.

Morning Camile,

TA DAH....that's done it! What a wally I am. I wonder how that happened. It was on the smallest font. Even my eagle eyed husband gave up trying to surf the net because he couldn't read anything.

The AOL homepage is still tiny, but maybe I need to shut down and reboot. All other pages appear to be ok.

Thanks everso. :cooldude:

Hello again !

happy it worked ..

I believe their should be some similar options on AOL .. as for what happened .. that's the mystery of computers !

Every time I go fixing PCs, people asks me what happened, and 95% of the time I have no clue .. I just know how to fix them !

But now you know how to have the PC for yourself know . .don't show your OH this option, and set it back to tiny when you're done .. like that you know that the PC will always be available when you need it !

shiney I believe there is a bit of incompatibility with Service pack 2 and AOL, I am on AOL.

Search in AOL help for service pack 2 and download the patch. However it does not seem to cure all. Stonehead's web site via AOL, for me, since Internet explorer 7 downloaded is in huge writing but fine through Internet explorer.

I have also had problems with connecting to AOL due to service pack 2 and AOL incompatibility...keep it to your self but I may have cured it by doing a broadband scan every morning.

I tried all the front changing and achieved nothing on sites that weren't right.

How do you do a broadband scan then?

AOL can be a pain in the neck sometimes.

download the broad band scanner from AOL..but only if you have broadband

Yep pain in the neck I have sat all day wondering why I couldn't see another thing on another web site and others can. I went on Internet Explorer and up it popped!

Oh right, I'll do that.

The pages seem to be behaving themselves now. I use Explorer more as it is easier to access pages that AOL doesn't.

Thanks....still thinking about keeping the fonts really small for the old man. What a bad person I am. I'll never get to heaven.

I have just updated my explorer and the pages seem a little out of focus, any ideas on that?

on explorer there is a 'tuning in' thing you can use.

As you can see I am very technical

Ha I love techy speak, especially when it ends in a 'thingy'!
