The ants and the woodlice got mine! (I have a few plants in my rather overgrown bank ~ pesky bugs snaffle them every year)

Good to know that you or rather your daughter got yours.
If in doubt ~ use a hammer!

Better keep watch over them! Maybe you can take turns with your daughter - 12 hour shifts anybody? I am lucky, in a way, I'm looking after two gardens while their owners are on holiday, and I've been told to pick whatever is ready. So although the birds/slugs and other nasties get their share, there's enough left for me, too. Not just strawberries, either...

We must be having a super-mild winter, my Nana has a ripe strawberry in her garden too.

Mine have been disappearing. Couldn't figure it out until I saw strawberry seeds between my dog's teeth

My jack russell starts dancing around and getting very exciting when anyone is eating a banana, from being a wee pup he always had the end of our banana as a treat

Just one thing to remember (2steps) grapes are very poisonous for dogs. It causes kidney failure I believe.
