we got the spuds ok - but the tomatoes are going down fast - I'm just trying to hold it off to get the tomatoes to develop as much as possible ...

gutting as we went to so much effort to get the gh built in time for this season....
oh well...

All my toms are brown :( Well except the bushes in my friends garden so fingers crossed for them. my tomatillos seem highly resistant. Will be clearing the lottie today as the weather doesn't look too bad (touch wood)

Think I'm going to stick to tomatillos next year and exotic tubers (don't get blight) just to let the ground settle, although one of my neighbours has had great success with a blight resistant tomato variety from suttons.

Buggrit, I've joined you all in the blight-in-the-greenhouse club. Arse. Still, a good clean out with citrox - the spores apparently don't last until next season.

Hi HW,
What is citrox?
I think I might have the first signs of Blight on the Tomatoes in the back garden - I notived the brown blisters on the fruit :(
Nothing in the greenhouse yet, as it is still under construction!

Well, the toms are still looking reasonably well - they never look too good anyway (that's in the poly tunnel). The tatties (Milva, supposedly blight resistant) will have to come out in the next few days; I'm hoping to keep the Pink Fir Apple in a bit longer...
But now my house seems to have blight! Grey spots on the ceilings. Looks like the damp has crept up and is coming out above my head now. Definitely no leaks from above.

Oh dear! That's a first here isn't it? I don't know what you do about that other than scrub the ceiling with bleach to kill the spores. :(
