Northern Mercian Extremes

Post: # 88074Post MKG »

Hi all from the wilds of North Nottinghamshire. I've been following your musings since I found this site a couple of days ago, and you all appear to be quite mad - right up my street, really. So I thought I'd join you.

Retirement is looming for me and she, and we're beginning to eye the rather large garden in a more utilitarian kind of manner, I'm rekindling my old winemaking interest, and we have a couple of potato experiments already lined up. Oh, and a broad bean test. Well, you know the kind of thing.

Anyway, nice to meet you all.

Hello MKG :hello2:

Mmmmm, wine... I've still got all the bits but I've not made any for ages - time to start again me thinks! :drunken:

Hiya MKG - you sound like you fit right in!

I just tried the blackcurrant wine I'd started making over a year ago - gave up on it because it never bubbled. BUT: it actually doesn't taste off, so I think I'll have to rack it after all! And of course, this encourages me to start something new... Rhubarb is the first on the list!
