Some useful book buying websites

I buy loads of books, and if thier out of stock at my library I either try:

Green Metropolis or I check to see if an Amazon Marketplace seller has it 2nd hand.

Not fantastic for books for presents I admit, but fantastic to check for books you might want to read (and in GreenMetropolis's case sell on again)

I agree - I buy and sell on Green metropolis all the time and encourage everyone else to do so too, to give us regulars a bigger choice of books.

It can take months to sell anything, but I am not pushed for storage space so I don't really mind.

I must confess - I have a serious problem with selling books: I always think I might want to read it again... Result: Thousands of books (mostly paperbacks, and often second hand) lining my walls. Keeps the place insulated, too!

Nice one - we've enough to insulate the whole house I reckon!! The whole family is book mad. I don't like getting rid of mine either, although I had some success selling cookery books on ebay.

Went up to see my parents-in-law on the NSW central coast today and as usual have come back with another 1/2 doz books. There is a really good 2nd hand bookshop up there!
