The 'newness' of the look was a wee shock to the system at first, but I do like it. I know from experience the amount of hard work it takes to do a move like this, so well done accomplishing it in such a relatively short space of time.
Congratulations, it looks great!

Don't know if you are still working on it but when I first managed to get on the boards I was not logged on and the thing was all over the place and colourless with many things blocked out with a big red X. Now I am logged it is still very washed out and I can see some of the things blocked before but not all. Don't know if I can alter the front but I shall need new glasses to read it..sorry
Just to add nine times out of 10 I can't get on the boards either..closed sign comes up

I think John is still working on it because a few things have changed for the better since this morning i.e. it's not green when you type a message any more.
The colours seem a bit more green now - pale green and a slightly darker pale green between posters which looks better to me than the brighter almost white it was this morning.
Hopefully it will get sorted out in time. There are a few probs with the size of people's avatars and where the box of text starts which I am sure will get sorted in time.
Oh and French accents have gone skew-whiff (however you spell that word!).

Just keep plodding one thing at a time....you'll get there, it's like a garden it takes a while for it to mature. Keep up the good work!!

Hey we're back. Thank goodness, I was having mild panic attacks when the forum was offline.
It's amazing how much work goes on behind the scenes for something like this so well done, John, for all your hard work.
Everything looks fine to me so I guess the glitches that you guys were experiencing have been sorted now. I like the fresh new look.

Point them out - daft not to.
Can we have it so that if we click on a link to an external website that it opens in a new tab/window please. I lost ish when I clicked on a link a minute ago.

Yay, back again! Well done, all!
Much more user-friendly to post now.
My only quibble is the size if the font for user-names on posts - their on- or off-line status is a larger font, the user-name kinda disappears. Otherwise it seems all good!!

Well done - it certainly is a HUGE job and there's bound to be little snags along the way.
I notice the sites done in Joomla!
Joomla is the BEST!!!
(I don't like the new logo - who's idea was it to change it?)

Re: selfsufficientish has a new home.
John - would it be possible to make the noo logo a wee bit smaller on the top banner? It would fit nicely with the bottom of it being in line with the log out/new messages/faq text line. Atm the threads are all off my screen because it takes up so much space.
Along the same lines, in the reply notification email, could some of the carriage returns be removed? Would be good to have the whole email fit one page.
Here's hoping!

Nice new design ... but got to agree with
it's too large ... waste space and making scrolling necessary where it should be necessary...hedgewitch wrote:(I don't like the new logo - who's idea was it to change it?)

Oh please tell me when the main website will be back - I'm looking for the recipe for the elderflower wine. My flowers have been steeping for five days and I need to know what to do with them!
