Hi
I'm new here too, just joined up today. I'm from very wet Wales too, close by in Cardiff. I've been a forager for years, love making nettle soup, seasonal wild food salads, wild fruit wines and pies etc. Have tried allotments, but being a working single Mum and not having a car, could never get there enough. I now have a big garden though (for Cardiff anyway) and am growing fruit, herbs and vegetables, and keeping ducks for the eggs. Planning on keeping bees in the future too.

Sue, hopefully there should be a pic of my Gypsy on this post.

PatR, so even Portugal is damp? :(

Karin, you have ducks! Lucky you. Are they just for the eggs, or do you treat them as pets?

Well, lets post this and see if there is a pic attached

Aww... Caroline - how cute!

Our charlie would be identical to this.... if he were brushed & stayed brushed... and bathed.... and cut properly instead of having a 'mum' special! I'm a demon with the clippers!

Dont let the pic decieve you. I clip her myself and she hates being groomed!!!

The way I look at it, she gets good food, is insured and is completely mollycoddled, but , she cant look in the mirror, so I save a fortune by clipping her myself.

In the spring, I pop the fur into a flowerpot suspended from my apple tree. It is great fun watching the birds flying back and forth to get it to use in their nests.
