Cooking Rice

You all seem to be such proficient chefs. Well here is a place to share some of that cooking knowledge. Or do you have a cooking problem? Ask away. Jams and chutneys go here too.

Looks like 30 ounces from the four pickings. Shaking the tree now results in few berries. At least I got the berries this year and not the birds.

It is so hot and dry here that it feels like a desert. We need a Noah's deluge to get back to normal.

My blackcurrant bush is ready to pick. The bush is loaded with berries. I don't want to pick them prematurely, but it is difficult to ascertain when they are at their peak.

Wicked!

We are literally, how do you spell dayluegged??, very wet anyway.

Picking Raspeberries in the rain is fun, but the slugs now want to eat all my strawberries, just a little from all the white, pink and red ones!

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

For serving it is heated in the microwave. Annotated photographs depict the process.
Riff-Raff Element, that's the way I cook rice, never fails

Durgan, with your healthy outlook on life I'm really surprised you use a microwave........

I never liked the nuke machine, and only use it for warming, since it is quick. My last wife use to cook a potato in the THING. My it was awful. At least one excuse for getting rid of her. Another item she use to serve was that glued chicken which people buy. And those supermarket prepared meat balls. I get stomach turning flashbacks thinking about it. I think she was trying to poison me.
