I always patron local farm stands. I try my best to get others to do it too. Commercial big buisness farming is ruining my country. In the spring and summer most of my family members plant gardens and we trade our vegez. My father inlaw loves to compete with me! I start just about everything by seed and never use pesticides. Last year he used too much of some bug killer and killed his entire garden. He tried to hide it by buying new started plants. I came over to see the garden and the plants were twice the size as the week before, he then confessed to murdering his precious plants with pesticide and I now have him convinced to grow organically. I told him if the poison killed your plants, imagine what it can do to your grandchildren who are eating your tomatos! I have officially converted him!
