As to the recycled instruments - I had a wonderful Alphorn/didgeridoo the other day: The innards of my new blinds. Almost 2 metres long, made a wonderful sound!
I forgot - I can play the triangle, too! I still remember that day I was allowed to lead the Kindergarten orchestra with it... Proudly marching in first place.
Some things are just too good to forget.
